Orsaline: Oral rehydration salt with adequate amount of water is called orsaline.


NaCl: 1.75 g


Tri-Na citrate dihydrate:1.45g

Anhydrous glucose:10g

½ litre cool and bioled water isto be added for preparation of the saline.

Indication: Diarrhoea and vomiting.fluid loss


1)      Adult:200-500 ml after every loose motion.

2)      Children:2-10 yrs 100-200 ml after every loose motion.


3)      <2yrs:50-100 ml after every loose motion.
