Group-A

Q: No: 01: a) What are the causes of cell injury? Describe the sequence of events in reversible cell injury with diagram.

b) Define necrosis. Describe the different types of necrosis with example.

c) What is granuloma? Give a list of granulomatous diseases. Draw and label a tubercular granuloma.

Q: No: 02: a) What do you mean by repair and regeneration? What are the factors influencing wound healing?

b) Define inflammation. Name the chemical mediators of inflammation with their important functions.

c) Define and classify anemia. What are the causes of microcytic hypochromic anemia?

Q: No: 03: a) What is osteomyelitis? Describe the etiology and pathogenesis of pyogenic osteomyelitis.

b) Define shock. Write briefly the pathogenesis of endotoxic shock.

c) Write short notes on: i) Pathological calcification ii) Apoptosis iii) Fate of acute inflammation

Q: No: 04: a) Define tumor. Enumerate the points of different between bengin and malignant tumors.

b) What do you mean by anaplasia? What do you grading and staging of tumor.

c) What do you mean by tumor markers. Name five important tumor markers and write the clinical importance of tumor markers.

Q: No: 05: a) Define rheumatoid arthritis. Describe the pathogenesis and morphology of  rheumatoid arthritis.

b) What are the adaptive changes? What is mataplasia and briefly discuss its importance with example.

c) Tabulate the points of difference between different types of meningitis.

Q: No: 06: a) Describe the pathogenesis and morphology of rheumatic fever.

b) Classify vitamins. What are the diseases caused by vitamin-A deficiency?

c) Write short notes on: i) Oncogenic viruses ii) Paraneoplastic syndrome iii) COPD
