c) Describe the pathogenesis and laboratory diagnosis of poliomyelitis. How can you immunize a child against polio virus?

Q: No: 02: a) What are the factors influencing wound healing? What are the complicaitons of wound healing?

b) Define cellular adaptation. What are the adaptive changes? Describe about metaplasia.

c) Define necrosis and apoptosis. What are the types of necrosis? Give example. What are the difference between necrosis and apoptosis?

Q: No: 03: a) Discuss the generation of arachidonic acid metabolites and their role in inflammation. What are the fates of acute inflammation?

b) Describe the pathogenesis and laboratory diagnosis of enteric fever.

c) Write short notes on: i) Difference between exotoxin and endotoxin of bacteria ii) Dystrophic calcification iii) Mantoux test iv) Granulation tissue
